What is covered?

Book An Artist Insurance is a third party liability policy covering up to $20 million AUD (to the equivalent value of $20 million AUD in your local currency) that insures Artists registered in the Book An Artist marketplace for their liability to third parties for personal injury or property damage whilst performing artistic services during a job on Book An Artist. Please note that insurance applies in Australia and New Zealand marketplaces.

Book An Artist Insurance does not cover all types of jobs. Jobs including but not limited to graffiti and mural art, illustrations, canvas painting, Signwriting, Mosaic, Workshops, Fine Art, Textile Art, Sketch Art, Portrait Art, Calligraphy Art, Sculptures, Photography, performances, tattoos design (excludes physical tattooing services) are covered by the insurance.

All coverage is subject to the policy's terms and conditions and there are exclusions that apply.
What isn't covered?

Some types of liabilities are not covered under the policy, including Asbestos Liability and Errors and Omissions.

Jobs must be completed and paid via the Book An Artist platform to be eligible for the coverage subject to insurance terms and conditions. Any jobs paid via alternative means (including cash in hand) will not be covered.

The insurance only provides cover for an Artist's liability for property damage or injury arising from creative activities (otherwise not excluded) and does not cover faulty workmanship. Job Posters should enquire with the Artist about their workmanship standards and any insurance for it prior to accepting an offer.

Criminal activities, malicious or intentional damage is not covered by the policy. If this occurs, please report this to the police and Book An Artist (contact@bookanartist.co) as soon as possible.

The policy does not cover personal injury to, or damage to property belonging to the Artist, and should not be considered a replacement for workers compensation, salary protection or other similar types of insurance.
